AHRC New York City is seeking a full-time Employment Skills Instructor to support young adults with disabilities in building workplace readiness and vocational skills through hands-on rotations. The instructor delivers competency-based instruction aligned with NADSP Core Competencies and facilitates a supportive learning environment.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of teaching methods for adults with disabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with families and staff.
• DOE/PIC training in mandatory curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom instruction to develop NADSP credentials.
• Teach NADSP core competencies and employment readiness.
• Implement work readiness and soft skills curricula.
• Prepare participants for internships and competitive employment.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace in instruction.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Maintain attendance and progress records for all participants.
