What You Will Be Doing:

The Employment Services Technician 3 (EST 3) is a supervisory role responsible for overseeing daily operations in the Anchorage Midtown Job Center’s resource room. You will ensure customers receive effective, high-quality service while providing supervision, direction, and program support to Employment Services Technician 1 staff. Your responsibilities include hiring, scheduling, training, and managing performance, as well as guiding day-to-day workflow. You will also maintain strong partnerships with workforce and community organizations, monitor program performance, and uphold service quality across all resource room activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • One year of experience as an Employment Services Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or equivalent elsewhere.
  • Two years of experience as an Employment Services Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or equivalent elsewhere.
  • Three years of experience such as providing employment services; coordinating training services; conducting skills assessments; making referrals to community support services; assisting individuals apply for federal/state financial assistance or benefits; providing services to the public; explaining policies, procedures, services, or requirements to the public; resolving customer complaints or problems; calculating costs, refunds, taxes, or benefits; providing written explanations, summaries, reports, or correspondence; or locating and inputting information into data systems such as reservation, ticketing, or application systems.
