Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join the Employment Law department and work closely with a lead attorney and a Litigation Paralegal. This on-site role offers competitive pay and a collaborative working environment as you provide litigation support and prepare court documents.

You will handle pleadings, discovery, and coordination with clients and third parties while maintaining organized case management across federal and state courts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services in a law firm setting.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred.
• General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court.
• Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
• Interface with Administrative Agencies, including EEOC.
• E-file court documents in federal and state court.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons.
• Coordinate depositions.
• Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits.
• Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
• Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery.
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
• Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts.
