Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking an experienced paralegal to support the Employment Law team. You will work closely with a lead attorney and a Litigation Paralegal to provide litigation support and help manage discovery, pleadings, and case documents.

The role is on-site in Santa Monica, offering competitive pay and an excellent benefits package. You will interface with clients and courts, organize documents, and assist in preparing briefs and subpoenas as needed.

Formación

• Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
• General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court
• Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
• Interface with Administrative Agencies, including EEOC.
• E-file court documents in federal and state court.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons.
• Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits.
• Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
• Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery.
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
• Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts.
