Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal in Chicago, Illinois. The role supports attorneys before, during, and after trials, contributing to the firm's mission of advocating for clients' rights.

The paralegal will prepare pleadings, file court documents, conduct legal research, and manage discovery, depositions, and trial exhibits with a highly organized approach.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• 2+ years of litigation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and affidavits.
• E-file court documents in state and federal courts.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and counsel.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
• Prepare discovery documents and responses.
• Coordinate and summarize depositions.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits.
• Draft and file pleadings and motions.
• Perform administrative duties and manage case logistics.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
• Organize exhibits, documents, and evidence.
• Aid attorneys with discovery requests.
• Liaise between trial teams and third parties.
• Assist with case settlements.

• Knowledge of motions, discovery, and court procedures.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Extensive computer and database expertise.

Education

• Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred.

Certifications

• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Type no less than 35 wpm.
