Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout the litigation process, assisting with case preparation and day-to-day legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and other information to support attorneys and case strategy.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, exhibits, and other legal documents.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized case files, ensuring documents, deadlines, and case information are accurately tracked.
• Assist with document review, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation as needed.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other parties while maintaining clear and professional communication.
• Adapt to changing case needs and take ownership of assigned projects, including extended hours, weekends, or travel for trials.

As a Paralegal, you will support commercial litigation attorneys and case teams across various stages of litigation, utilizing your strong organizational, research, and case-management skills to keep matters moving efficiently. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and a benefits package that includes major Medical, Dental, Vision, L & D Insurance, & 401(k).

Key Responsibilities of the Paralegal:

• Support attorneys throughout the litigation process, assisting with case preparation, organization, and day-to-day legal matters
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and other information to support attorneys and case strategy

Qualifications of the Paralegal:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working within a law firm in any relevant capacity
• Experience with a defense law firm or defense-oriented legal practice strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, legal research, and case-management skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Self-starter who is hardworking, motivated, and comfortable taking ownership and responsibility within a flat organizational structure
• Ability to adapt to different workflows and case requirements while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work late hours and/or weekends when necessary and travel for 6 to 8 weeks at a time during high-peak trial preparation
