Job summary

Demant is seeking an employment and litigation attorney with at least two years of experience to join its Legal Team in Somerset, NJ. The role requires on-site presence on Tuesday and Thursday and collaboration with senior counsel on employment and disputes matters.

You will advise on a broad spectrum of employment issues, draft employment-related agreements, and assist with EEOC matters while managing litigation with outside counsel. Excellent writing and research skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and bar in PA, NJ or NY.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing employment and/or litigation law.
• Ability to provide practical, business-minded legal advice balancing risk and business needs.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Hardworking, team-oriented and able to think creatively to resolve issues.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation internally and with outside counsel.
• Prepare, negotiate, review and revise employment-related contracts.
• Advise on a broad range of employment issues and EEOC matters.
• Collaborate with Senior Counsel, Disputes & Litigation for strategy and guidance.
• Demonstrate proactive, ethical conduct and sound judgment in decisions.
• Occasional travel may be required.
