TemPositions Group of Companies seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney with a deep specialization in Employment Law to join a dynamic, hybrid team in New Jersey. The role requires stepping in on day one to handle diverse workplace disputes, from discrimination to wage-and-hour issues, in both state and federal forums.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Active, good-standing license to practice law in New Jersey.
• 5 to 7 years of general civil litigation experience, with a heavy focus on state and federal employment law.
• Litigation Mastery: Proven track record of handling depositions, oral arguments, and trial preparation independently.
• Hybrid Workflow: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the self-motivation to manage a caseload across office and home environments.
• Preferred: Dual admission to New York is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Caseload Management: Independently drive a diverse litigation portfolio focused heavily on employment matters (Title VII, ADA, FMLA, NJLAD, wage and hour, and wrongful termination).
• Advocacy & Court Appearances: Represent clients in federal and state courts, administrative agencies, arbitrations, and mediation hearings.
• Depositions & Discovery: Conduct and defend complex depositions; draft and execute targeted discovery plans specific to employment law intricacies.
• Motion Practice: Conduct exhaustive legal research and author pleadings, substantive motions, and appellate briefs.
• Strategy & Counseling: Formulate comprehensive litigation strategies and advise clients on compliance, risk mitigation, and workplace policies.
• Settlement Negotiation: Value claims accurately and execute settlement strategies to secure resolutions.
