Our Client in Boston, MA is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice. The role offers sophisticated disputes and significant client interaction in a hybrid environment.

Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school, Massachusetts Bar admission, and 3–7 years of labor and employment litigation experience. The attorney will draft pleadings, take depositions, and advise employers on compliance.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing.
• 3–7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters.
• Strong experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.
