Job summary

Our Client, a highly respected national labor and employment law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice in Boston. The role offers meaningful litigation responsibility, client interaction, and long-term growth within a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of labor and employment litigation experience, strong writing and advocacy skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission, in good standing
• 3–7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts and arbitration
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience counseling management teams preferred
• Large law firm or employment boutique experience preferred
• Self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice on complex matters
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution
