Our client, a respected national labor and employment law firm, seeks an Associate Attorney for its Employment Litigation practice in Boston. This role offers litigation responsibility, direct client interaction, and growth in a collaborative environment.

Hybrid work model. Candidates should have a JD from an accredited law school, Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing, and 3–7 years of labor and employment litigation experience, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination,

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission, in good standing
• 3-7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters
• Strong drafting of pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience providing employment counseling and advice to management teams is preferred
• Large law firm or employment boutique experience preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice on complex matters
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution
