Job summary

Jobot is seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment Associate to join a national full-service firm with East Coast presence. You’ll counsel employers on federal and state employment law and handle disputes, with hybrid work options and growth potential.

The role combines advisory work and litigation, and you’ll work directly with partners and clients. A JD and bar admission in PA/NJ/VA/MD/DC, about 3–5 years of L&E experience, and strong writing and advocacy skills are required.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar admission in PA/NJ/VA/MD/DC (or eligibility in the target market)
• About 3-5 years of labor and employment experience, ideally including both counseling and litigation
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage matters independently and communicate directly with clients

Responsibilities

• Counsel employers on federal and state employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, leave, and accommodation issues
• Draft handbooks, policies, employment agreements, and separation agreements
• Handle employment litigation in state and federal court, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and mediation
• Respond to and defend charges before the EEOC and state agencies
• Assist with workplace investigations and training
