Job description

Our client, a midtown Manhattan law firm with a sophisticated management side Labor & Employment practice, is seeking an associate to join its growing team. This is an opportunity for an employment attorney who enjoys working directly with clients on the day to day workplace issues that businesses face and wants to continue building the counseling side of their practice.

The ideal candidate will have approximately two to five years of management side employment law experience at a large, midsized, or boutique law firm. You should have experience advising employers on workplace matters, which may include employee relations, policies and procedures, investigations, wage and hour issues, leaves and accommodations, and employment and separation agreements. Candidates with a broader employment practice that includes litigation are encouraged to apply, particularly if they are interested in developing a greater concentration in advice and counsel work.

The position offers meaningful client contact, direct access to experienced partners, and exposure to a broad range of employment issues across different businesses and industries. Candidates should have strong writing, analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and a practical approach to helping clients resolve workplace issues. Admission to the New York Bar is required.

Compensation ranges from $200K to $245K, plus a robust performance bonus and exceptional benefits. This role offers a strong platform for an associate looking to deepen their employment counseling experience while becoming an increasingly important part of client relationships and the firm's practice.
