Paragon Legal is seeking a full-time attorney to join as an embedded generalist, focusing on employment counseling. You will work directly with HR and business stakeholders on employee relations matters, investigations, performance issues, leaves, terminations, severance, and other sensitive questions.

The role offers cross‑practice exposure in contracts, privacy and cybersecurity, and a small, collaborative team environment.

Job description

A lean legal team at a global consumer products company is looking for a full-time attorney to join as an embedded legal generalist, with employment counseling as the primary focus. This attorney will work directly HR and business stakeholders on employee relations matters such as investigations, performance issues, leaves, terminations, severance, and other sensitive employment questions. The team is looking for someone who can provide practical, business-oriented advice, take ownership of matters, and recognize when specialist outside counsel should be engaged. Beyond employment, the attorney will have the opportunity to support a broad mix of legal matters, including commercial contracts, litigation management, and potentially privacy and cybersecurity. Commercial contracting and privacy/cybersecurity experience are strong pluses. This could be a strong opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working across practice areas, partnering directly with the business, and operating as part of a small, collaborative legal team.

This project starts ASAP, is 6–9 months, is hybrid with approximately 2 days/week onsite in Napa or Larkspur/Marin, and requires 40 hours/week.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $90 and $115. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
