Job summary

GEO is seeking an Employment and Education Coordinator to deliver instructional resources and referrals for educational and employment advancement at the Day Reporting Center. You will be the primary contact for the Education and Employment program, applying evidence-based practices in all interactions with clients and staff.

You will conduct assessments, develop plans, provide counseling, and help probationers connect with employers and training opportunities while addressing post-placement

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from a granting institution and a minimum of one year of experience as a Job Developer or similar position.
Or shall possess a high school diploma, or its equivalent, and a minimum of two years of experience as a Job Developer or similar position.

Responsibilities

Conduct individual education assessments and create treatment plans for referred participants using the What Works system.
Assist in forming plans to achieve occupational goals and refer probationers to suitable employers, training and educational facilities.
Provide counseling to help probationers analyze skills and employability; assist with résumé writing and interview preparation.
