Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in employment law, business litigation, or general litigation.
• Massachusetts bar membership or eligibility to waive in.
• Experience managing litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Strong research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Handle employment law and business litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, written discovery, dispositive and non-dispositive motions, and other court filings.
• Take and defend depositions and argue motions in state and federal court and before administrative agencies.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in alternative dispute resolution.
• Advise employers and employees on wage and hour, leave, reasonable accommodation, performance, disciplinary, and restrictive covenant matters.
• Counsel clients regarding applicable state and federal employment laws, including the Massachusetts Wage Act, FLSA, PFMLA, ADA, and pay equity and transparency requirements.
• Draft and review employment agreements, offer letters, confidentiality agreements, separation agreements, employee handbooks, and workplace policies.
• Litigate employment disputes involving wage and hour claims, discrimination, retaliation, and restrictive covenants before courts and administrative agencies, including MCAD.
• Manage matters independently while collaborating with attorneys and other professionals across practice areas.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to grow a legal practice.
