Job summary

Chiesa, Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) seeks an associate attorney for our Employment Practice Group. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of employment litigation experience and will defend discrimination, retaliation, and wage/hour matters in NJ/NY courts and before agencies, while advising employers on wage/hour issues and performance management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of employment litigation experience in state and federal courts (NJ/NY) and before government agencies.
• Provide advice and counsel to employers on wage and hour, risk mitigation, performance management, leaves, and reductions-in-force.
• Draft employment agreements, handbooks and related policies.
• Working knowledge of federal, NJ, NY State and NYC employment laws.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, writing, analytical and verbal communication skills.

Chiesa, Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) is seeking an associate attorney for our Employment Practice Group.The Firm is not accepting recruiter submissions for this role.Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter with 5+ years of experience that includes:

• Employment litigation defending discrimination matters, retaliation, restrictive covenants and wage and hour litigation in the state and federal courts of NJ and NY and before government agencies.
• Providing advice and counsel to employers on various employment-related issues including wage and hour, mitigation of risk, performance management, workplace accommodations, leave laws, and reductions-in-force.
• Drafting employment agreements, employment handbooks and related policies.
• Working knowledge of federal, New Jersey, New York State and New York City employment laws.
• Excellent legal research, drafting and writing ability, and analytical and verbal communication skills are required.

This position is hybrid from firm's New Jersey office.

The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $190,000 - $215,000.

Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
