Job summary

gpac is seeking an Employment Attorney in South Boston to represent employers in state and federal court and handle all phases of litigation. You will draft and review employment and severance agreements and advise on risk management, compliance and equity compensation matters.

The role emphasizes practical, business-minded legal advice, collaboration with a team, and growth through meaningful client ownership and flexible in-office scheduling with remote work options.

Qualifications

• Experience practicing employment law with employer-side representation.
• Strong litigation experience in state and federal court.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

Employment Attorney | South Boston

What You’ll Do

• Represent employers in employment-related matters in state and federal court
• Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and other substantive case work
• Counsel employers on employment issues, workplace matters, risk management, and compliance
• Draft and review employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents
• Advise clients regarding equity compensation, stock options, vesting, and related employment considerations
• Handle pre-litigation negotiations, demand letters, and dispute resolution
• Conduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written work product

What We’re Looking For

• Experience practicing employment law with meaningful employer-side representation
• Plaintiff-side employment experience is a plus
• Strong litigation experience in state and federal court
• Experience with depositions, discovery, motions, and negotiations
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
• Comfortable counseling clients and providing practical, business-minded legal advice
• Self-starter who can manage matters independently while working collaboratively with the team
