Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney for their Employment Practice Area in Southborough, MA. The associate will engage in a variety of tasks including litigation, counseling, drafting, investigations, and training. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule with three in-office days.

Duties
  • Draft and revise employment policies, handbooks, and agreements.
  • Provide counseling on HR and employment compliance matters.
  • Litigate employment cases such as wrongful termination and discrimination.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Assist in all phases of litigation, including mediations and trials.
  • Prepare and analyze discovery productions.
  • Communicate with clients and provide legal advice and updates.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Three to eight years of experience in an employment practice area.
  • Experience representing employers in employment disputes.
  • Strong academic background with a Juris Doctorate Degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts; additional state Bar admissions are a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage time and multitask effectively.
  • Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Education
