A law firm seeks an experienced, team-oriented associate for their Employment Practice Area in Boston, MA. The associate will assist in a variety of tasks including litigation, counseling, drafting, investigations, and training. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule with three in-office days.
Duties
- Draft and revise employment policies, handbooks, and agreements.
- Provide counseling on HR and employment compliance matters.
- Litigate employment cases such as wrongful termination and discrimination.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
- Assist in all phases of litigation, including mediations and trials.
- Prepare and analyze discovery productions.
- Communicate with clients and provide legal advice and updates.
Requirements
- Three to eight years of experience in an employment practice area.
- Experience representing employers in employment disputes.
- Strong academic background with a Juris Doctorate Degree.
- Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts; multiple state Bar admissions are a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage time and multitask effectively.
- Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education
- Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
