Job summary

Employ Milwaukee, Inc. is seeking a Business Engagement Coordinator to work with the City of Milwaukee's Department of City Development. You will build relationships with local employers, identify workforce needs, and connect businesses to workforce development resources.

The role focuses on expanding job opportunities, retention, and community partnerships, supporting both Employer services and economic development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, economics, public administration, workforce development, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in sales/marketing, job placement, workforce or economic development.
• Driver's License and ability to travel local sites.

Responsibilities

• Promote Employ Milwaukee and City of Milwaukee resources to employers and stakeholders.
• Cultivate employer relationships and expand placement opportunities.
• Develop partnerships with local economic development organizations.
• Coordinate employer visits and prepare briefing materials.
• Organize roundtables to identify workforce needs and trends.
• Analyze labor market data and report insights to leadership.
• Support leadership at events and ensure follow-ups on commitments.
• Maintain contacts to support employer engagement and program outcomes.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
