Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a diligent Specialist to maintain data related to employers, insurers, courts, offices and other parties within the automated system, ensuring updates are recorded and verified in a timely manner.

Under direct supervision, you will serve as a customer service liaison with automated system users and the employer community, addressing data issues and performing routine clerical tasks to support Child Support Services.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and relevant experience; an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience.
• This position will be located in Columbia, SC

Responsibilities

• Data Management: conducts research and updates records for employers and other parties in the automated system.
• Analyze & Report: troubleshoots problems using established procedures and tracks status via the ticket system.
• Technical Support: responds to system user inquiries and resolves data issues within two business days.
• Customer Service: liaises with employers to ensure compliance with the income withholding process.
• General Clerical: performs related duties and acts as back-up to the New Hire Unit.
