Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Tejon is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to advise management on ER policies and support hourly team members. The role is mid-level and exempt, reporting to the Director of HR, with responsibilities across investigations, employee engagement, and policy interpretation.

The position requires 2+ years in Employee Relations (or 4+ years with equivalent education), a bachelor’s degree or higher, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of dedicated Employee Relations experience or 4+ years with equivalent education/experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent.
• PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
• Casino/hotel environment experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction, coaching, and advising to management in interpreting and communicating ER policies.
• Maintains knowledge of best practices and laws related to HR.
• Partners with HR to develop high performance teams.
• Conducts employee investigations, including sensitive issues like harassment and discrimination.
• Conducts termination meetings for managers and below.
• Plans and executes team member events and morale programs.
• Acts as employer representative for unemployment appeals.
• Participates in employee reviews and reporting.
