Job summary

Seaboard Marine seeks an HR Generalist focused on employee relations and workplace investigations. The role supports performance management, compliance, and policy application in a corporate environment.

Required are 2+ years in HR with experience in investigations, disciplinary actions, and policy enforcement. Bilingual English/Spanish is needed to communicate across the organization and with external parties, with a schedule that may require extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' HR experience with strong focus on Employee Relations and investigations.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws applicable to employee relations decisions.
• Experience drafting disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and investigation summaries.
• Ability to foster positive employee relations and partner with management.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or current SHRM certification (PHR/SPHR/ GPHR).
• Intermediate MS Word and Outlook; advanced Excel skills listed in duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and performance evaluations.
• Coach supervisors on performance concerns and ensure policy consistency.
• Conduct workplace investigations for harassment or discrimination with compliance to Title VII/EEOC.
• Support separations, including documentation and exit interviews.
• Address employee concerns with timely, fair resolutions.
• Document investigation findings and provide recommendations.
• Assist with benefits coordination, workers’ compensation, and recruitment support as needed.
• Review disciplinary activity and track turnover, complaints, and discipline metrics.
• Coordinate company events and participate in HR initiatives as assigned.
