Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City seeks an Employee Relations Specialist to administer discipline policies, investigate concerns, and advise managers. The role focuses on policy development, compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and maintaining confidential records.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in HR/Business/Psychology or related field and at least three years in HR or supervision, with dispute resolution experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Counseling, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years in Human Resources or operations supervision.
• Experience in employee relations or dispute resolution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers progressive discipline policy and procedures.
• Reviews disciplinary actions.
• Counsels managers on job performance and behavioral issues and recommends actions.
• Documents performance and disciplinary issues with managers.
• Conducts investigations into complaints and concerns from employees or management.
• Proposes corrective actions based on findings, policies, and laws.
• Maintains knowledge of employment laws and collective bargaining agreements.
• Reviews involuntary terminations for policy consistency.
• Maintains a tracking system for investigations and grievances.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Schedules and facilitates grievances.
• Maintains detailed notes/files for investigations and grievances.
• Other duties as assigned.
