Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Employee Relations, you will provide guidance and advice on employee relations matters for staff employees at UCLA Health. Your responsibilities include reviewing disciplinary and employment-related documents/actions (FMLA, layoffs, work rules, etc.) and collaborating with department HR Reps and senior leadership to ensure HR procedures are properly followed.
You will be responsible for policy and contract administration, including interpretation, implementation, and management. You will collaborate with various offices such as Compliance and Privacy Services, Staff Diversity & Compliance, Title IX, Risk Management, and others to ensure best practices and consistency across departments.
As Employee Relations Manager, you will represent UCLA Health in work-groups and committees to foster successful partnerships. You will orient management on policy and legal compliance, provide guidance, interpretation, and training on policies and procedures, and assist in creating HR process protocols. Additionally, you will conduct or support investigations related to Title IX, sexual harassment, discrimination, whistleblower complaints, retaliation, and other workplace concerns.
Note: This is one of four open ER Manager roles. Salary range: $92,600 - $202,200 annually.
