Job summary

CME Group in New York seeks an Employee Relations Manager to support programs that reinforce our culture and employee experience. You will review, investigate, and resolve complex matters, serving as a trusted advisor to HR and leadership across the organization.

You will coach managers, guide policy application, and ensure consistent, objective handling of issues while maintaining an open, inclusive workplace. Strong HRMS and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of related experience in a professional HR function.
• Strong knowledge of performance management coaching and employment-related investigations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with management and employees at all levels.
• Proficiency with Google tools and familiarity with Workday or other HRMS.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coach managers to build high-performing teams and apply CME Group policies consistently.
• Advise HR and leadership on employment-related matters balancing risk and employee advocacy.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters and investigations with objectivity and empathy.
• Serve as primary HR contact and site lead for the New York office and local employees.
• Handle offboarding activities for departing employees with a thorough process.
• Manage unemployment insurance claims for the company.
