Job summary

Suburban Enterprises, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Service Technician - Technology to diagnose, repair, and service security, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, and related low voltage systems in field settings.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, strong customer communication, and field troubleshooting; travel up to 25% with opportunities for advancement within our ESOP-owned company. A strong candidate will have a high school diploma, 3-5 years in electronics or low voltage, NFPA70E

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3-5 years’ experience with electronics and/or low voltage systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified or able to obtain shortly after start date.
• NFPA70E training.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; auto liability insurance.
• Understands NEC and NFPA codes and applies these standards.
• Proficient reading wiring diagrams; advanced power tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Assists with maintaining customer relationships based on dependability and honesty.
• Functions in all building types and customer markets; industrial, commercial, residential; follows GMPs and safety requirements.
• Establishes service by studying system requirements; orders parts; performs acceptance tests and commissioning.
• Reviews work orders and job files for data including drawings and specifications for efficient service.
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment on CCTV, Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, Card Access, Paging, Cabling; uses testing equipment.
