Job summary

Homeland is seeking an Assistant Front-End Manager for Homeland Store 247 in Muskogee, OK. This part-time role focuses on greeting customers, supervising front-end staff, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will participate in hiring and training, prepare weekly schedules, ensure front-end safety and efficient checkout, and help customers with questions while enforcing store policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior cashier experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and supervise the greeting of customers, respond to questions/requests/complaints and explain store policies in a courteous manner.
• Initiate and/or make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, promotion, and evaluation of all front-end personnel; orient/train new front-end staff.
• Develop weekly labor schedules for front-end employees with store manager approval.
• Ensure front-end safety and follow store safety rules; notify supervisor of hazards immediately.
• Bag customer purchases quickly and correctly.
• Understand and operate electronic cash register, scanner, scale, and intercom system.
• Monitor front-end service and call for additional help or open express lanes as needed.
• Handle cash delivery, approve checks, refunds and voids.
• Supervise checkout and bagging, including assisting customers to their car.
• Supervise/perform return of go-backs and maintain carts and displays.
• Ensure opening/closing accounting procedures are followed.
• Keep front-end staff informed about new produce items and policies.
• Prevent loss by proper cash handling, price checks, and accurate identification of items.
