Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ years cashiering experience or training.
• Ability to sit/stand, lift up to 100 pounds as needed in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering and exiting the store with a smile.
• Engage customers to provide personalized service and promote digital receipts.
• Scan items accurately and ensure proper payment at checkout.
• Bag merchandise carefully and handle items with care.
• Promote Scheels Visa and explain its benefits.
• Close each transaction with a polite 'thank you'.
• Operate the register system and follow cash handling policies.
• Remain knowledgeable about store products and policies.
• Resolve problems within standardized processes and multiple variables.
• Perform basic math, make change, and balance cash drawer.
• Stay aware of in-store events and promotions.
• Assist in training new Customer Service Associates and Cashiers.
• Help with other duties as assigned and keep a flexible schedule.
