Job summary

Catamount Constructors, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee financial success and coordination with Architects, Engineers, and Owners to keep projects on budget and within scope.

You will document construction progress, manage logs, handle buyout decisions, support the Superintendent, and maintain strong owner/contractor communications for timely pay applications and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Refined organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks for self, team, and projects.
• Strong communication skills including listening, presenting, interpersonal and written.
• Analytical ability with strong negotiating skills.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience with a General Contractor preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably within the Construction Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project), and experience with Procore, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong understanding of the contract from the project onset.
• Document project updates and maintain logs; record changes as needed.
• Using strong negotiation skills, establish the purchasing plan and make timely decisions during buyout.
• Support the Superintendent to maintain the project schedule and post the monthly schedule.
• Create and maintain relationships with the project owner and act on their needs with urgency.
• Facilitate Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings; generate agenda and minutes.
• Submit owner pay applications correctly and timely.
• Maintain open communication with subcontractors.
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders; process change orders.
• Ensure conformity with contract documents and scope of work; address underperformance if needed.
• Lead the project team and support everyone involved.
