S&C Electric Company in Chicago, IL is hiring a Food Service - Line Cook to support our on-site cafeterias. You will coordinate food service operations, ensuring timely meals and maintaining sanitation.

The role requires 1-3 years cooking experience, high school diploma or GED, ability to obtain food safety certification within 60 days, and willingness to lift up to 40 lbs. The shift is 4:30AM-1:30PM with potential incentive bonuses.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of cooking experience in the kitchen.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to become a certified driver for cafeteria vehicles.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification within 60 days (company covered).
• Lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and supplies to the Building 6 Cafeteria and meeting rooms; return/clean supplies.
• Wash dishes weighing 5–10 lbs.
• Stock deliveries in Building 3 Cafeteria storage and cooler areas.
• Mop floors and clean the freezer.
• Record inventory and support operations as required.
• Operate cash register or assist with food preparation.
