Job summary

Texas ESC Region 16 Amarillo, Bell Street Location seeks an Employee Experience Programs Specialist to enhance onboarding, engagement, and training initiatives across the organization.

The role collaborates with multiple departments to promote a positive work culture, manage employee communications, and support professional development through tools like LinkedIn Learning and internal platforms.

Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Educational Leadership or a related field preferred.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, Google Suite, and Monday.com; experience with dashboard tools is a plus.
  • 3 years of experience in employee or customer engagement, onboarding, project management, or training and development preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Empathy and a strong commitment to providing a positive employee experience.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management and improvement of EE processes and policies to enhance the employee experience.
  • Provide point-of-contact service for employees and assist with employee orientation programs.
  • Assists the Employee Experience Coordinator in facilitating the hiring process, including applicant screening and fingerprinting.
  • Assists the Chief Employee Experience Officer in developing comprehensive strategies for training and professional development that address the needs of the employees and the organization. This includes In-Home training and ongoing monthly or bi-monthly internal professional development.
  • Assist in the development and analysis of employee engagement surveys; implement feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of communication platforms to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
  • Collaborate with the EE team to organize team-building events and activities that promote a positive company culture.
  • Foster a positive workplace environment by actively promoting and embodying the organization's values, ensuring all EE practices align with the organization's vision.

Primary Purpose:

The Employee Experience Programs Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring a positive, engaging, and seamless experience for all employees, from onboarding to offboarding both internally and externally. This role involves collaboration across various departments to develop and implement strategies and initiatives that promote a positive work culture, employee satisfaction, and professional growth.

Education/Certification

Working Conditions

  • Posture: Must be physically able to tolerate prolonged sitting, frequent standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting, and standing
  • Motion: Must be physically able to tolerate frequent standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching, occasional driving
  • Lifting: Must be physically able to tolerate regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may require occasional heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds or more)
  • Environment: Must be physically able to work inside; tolerate occasional regionwide and statewide travel; regular exposure to noise
  • Mental Demands: Must be able to work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours on occasion.
  • Regular Attendance is an essential function.
Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Participate in cross-training and collaboration with other human resources staff to have a comprehensive understanding of various EE functions.
  • Assist in the development and execution of onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming introduction to the company.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including preparing necessary documentation and facilitating training sessions on internal software platforms.
  • Able to market and explain products at high levels to multiple audiences.
  • Provide IT support for internal software platforms.
  • HR-related technology products include performance management systems, registration systems, FMLA Tracker, LinkedIn Learning, Monday.com, and ClassLink.
  • Effectively communicate and promote available professional development opportunities via LinkedIn Learning and the Professional Learning Plan.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for external clients, including coordinating onboarding processes and preparing necessary documentation on multiple software platforms.
  • Ability to market the organization and its systems in documents/written and verbal communication.
  • Serves as the workers’ compensation point of contact and helps employees navigate the process.
  • Manage benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and any other benefits administration.
  • Coach and prepare customers for successful rollouts of FMLA Tracker +, including facilitating training.
  • Lead FMLA Tracker + product demonstrations for any interested parties, as requested.
  • Ensure effective transfer of information learned in training/onboarding to the customer's production environment.
  • Serve as the AskTed administrator for Region 16.
  • Oversee I-9 employment eligibility, verification, and audit process
  • Collaborates with team members to assist in resolving problems with Region 16 ESC web applications.
  • Coordinate ongoing training and development opportunities to support employee growth and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Employee Experience Officer to support the execution of performance management processes.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure staff members are confident and proficient in utilizing both LinkedIn Learning and Monday.com platforms.
  • Performs duties that directly and/or indirectly impact student performance in Region 16
  • Maintains a professional level of confidentiality regarding all ESC matters
  • Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC strategic plan

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $300.16 to $359.48 ATP-2
