Job summary

Candeo Iowa is seeking an HR Coordinator / Employee Experience Specialist to support hiring, onboarding, training, and record-keeping. You will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging employee experience, supervise reception, and assist with benefits administration during enrollment periods.

This role focuses on compliant HR processes, background checks, and development of onboarding programs within a nonprofit setting that serves adults with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred; HR experience valued.
• One year of experience in human resources preferred.
• Experience with people with disabilities preferred.
• Valid Iowa Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Support all HR functions including hiring, onboarding, training, and record keeping.
• Supervise reception and contribute to a positive employee experience.
• Assist with recruiting, background checks, and new hire orientation.
• Maintain HRIS records and ensure confidentiality under regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate employee trainings and certifications as required.
