Job summary

Avo Photonics is seeking a proactive People Operations professional to plan and manage employee events, onboarding, and engagement initiatives. The role emphasizes data-driven retention and culture building across a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will bring a Bachelor's degree in HR/Marketing, 2+ years of HR experience, and 1+ year of event planning, with strengths in MS Office and social media analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a corporate HR team.
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrated event/activity planning.
• Social media marketing experience preferred.
• Experience with Google Analytics preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an above average ability to communicate with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and execute employee events to enhance company culture and employee experience.
• Manage logistics, venue, and vendors on time and within approved budget.
• Administer employee feedback surveys, results tracking, and reporting.
• Track experience and retention efforts to identify trends to drive short- and long-term planning.
• Participate in new employee onboarding.
• Monitor and track internal ESAT, Glassdoor, Indeed and Google scores and use as a metric.
• Responsible for continuous improvement in employee engagement strategies and delivery.
• Partner with Marketing to create and maintain a social media presence around Avo culture and employee experience.
• Assist Talent Acquisition in selling the Avo culture and employee experience.
• Assist in other People Operations functions as requested.

Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff have the opportunity to design, prototype and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.

The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.

Specifically:

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required. Human Resources, Marketing or a related field is preferred
• Minimum 2 years; experience within a Corporate Human Resources Team is required
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrated event/activity planning
• Social Media Marketing experience preferred
• Experience with Google Analytics preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Outlook
