Job summary

Thompson Hospitality seeks an HR Communications Assistant to support the Employee Engagement team. You will craft internal strategies, measure engagement outcomes, and drive initiatives that improve participation, recognition, and culture.

You will translate data into actions, collaborate with leaders, and manage multiple communications across channels, while supporting onboarding and recognition programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, HR, Public Relations, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, HR, or corporate communications.
• Graphic design experience using Canva is a requirement.
• Excellent written, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret engagement data and trends.
• Experience creating newsletters and employee communications using Microsoft Office and digital platforms.
• Experience with UKG or other HCM systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communication strategies that strengthen employee engagement and alignment.
• Create and manage communications across newsletters, digital platforms, executive messaging, and recognition campaigns.
• Maintain employee communication platforms, including UKG Home Page Gadgets, with brand-aligned messaging.
• Monitor engagement metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead company-wide recognition programs and onboard communications with leadership.
• Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, Operations, Marketing, and leaders to support initiatives.
