Job summary

The Hilb Group is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive (Large Group) to join our hybrid team, with the role reporting to our Roseland, NJ; Uniondale, NY; or Shelton, CT offices. You will develop innovative, compliant benefit strategies, lead client meetings, and provide expert consulting to enhance client programs.

Ideal candidates bring L&H licensure, 5+ years in a carrier/broker environment, and strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
• Life and Health license required.
• 5+ years of carrier or broker experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement benefit strategies that address client needs.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, and onboarding with producers.
• Provide strategic insights to enhance clients’ benefit programs.
• Maintain annual planning calendars for assigned clients.
• Mentor Account Managers and Client Care Specialists.
• Delegate tasks and onboard junior staff effectively.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for client concerns.
• Assist with plan design, enrollment tools, and long-term strategy.
• Collaborate with carriers to craft compliant solutions.
• Stay updated on compliance, benchmarking, and analytics.
• Create client-focused messaging and benefits content.
• Represent the company at meetings and industry events.
