Job Responsibilities
  • Generate new business opportunities and manage existing client relationships in employee benefits.
  • Deliver strategic benefit solutions, drive revenue growth, and provide exceptional service and consultation on group benefits plans including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Development: Prospect and generate new client leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and marketing campaigns. Develop and present tailored benefits solutions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen client relationships through consistent communication and proactive service. Serve as a trusted advisor.
  • Consultative Sales Approach: Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with clients to develop cost-effective, compliant benefit strategies. Present innovative plan designs and wellness initiatives.
  • Market Expertise & Carrier Negotiation: Analyze market trends, benchmark data, and negotiate rates with carriers for optimal benefits packages.
  • Renewals & Account Management: Handle renewals, enrollments, claims issues, plan changes, and open enrollment support.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Stay updated on federal and state regulations and ensure client programs are compliant and well-documented.
  • Cross-Selling & Strategic Growth: Identify opportunities to cross-sell other insurance products and contribute to sales strategies.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in employee benefits sales or account management.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance License.
  • Strong knowledge of group benefit products, funding methods, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting platforms, and HRIS/BenAdmin systems is a plus.
