Compensation and Benefits
  • Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
  • Additional Compensation: Commission (40% on new business, 25% residuals on renewals)
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $200K-$400K, with top performers earning over $850K
Location and Travel

Location: Remote (based in NY, NJ, or CT)

Travel: Mainly day trips within the territory, occasional overnight travel

Role Overview

We are hiring a Sales Director to expand a defined territory of mid-market employers by delivering tailored benefit strategies across insurance, retirement, and benefits technology. This fully remote position is ideal for driven professionals seeking autonomy, high earning potential, and growth opportunities.

You will manage your pipeline, prospect, network, and leverage referral relationships to build lasting client partnerships. As a consultative seller, you’ll assist HR and finance leaders in optimizing their benefits programs, with internal teams handling quoting, onboarding, and servicing, allowing you to focus on business development.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of sales experience in employee benefits
  • Proven success selling to HR and finance decision-makers in mid-market companies
  • Established network of industry contacts and referral partners
  • Life, Accident, and Health license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Hunter mentality with a strong drive to generate and close new business
  • Ability to travel within the territory (primarily day trips with some overnights)
