Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and PTO programs and to oversee leave management with regulatory compliance.

You will enroll employees, coordinate open enrollment, respond to benefit inquiries, and support payroll deduction accuracy. A2+-level HR experience and proficiency with Office 365, TEAMS, SharePoint, HRIS and ATS are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR, business management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years’ HR experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Help employees enroll in benefits programs and answer inquiries.
• Coordinate benefits and open enrollment with providers.
• Process Leaves of Absence (FMLA, PLOA) and maintain documentation.
• Verify payroll deductions and assist payroll liaison.
• Prepare benefit-related termination paperwork and workers' comp processing.
