Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Benefits Specialist to assist with administering medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and PTO programs, as well as leave management and regulatory compliance. The role includes open enrollment coordination, employee inquiries, and supporting payroll deductions accuracy.

Responsibilities also cover assisting with new-hire orientation, workers' compensation processing, and benefits termination paperwork, with a focus on confidentiality and willingness to learn

Qualifications

• Associate degree in human resources, business management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years' experience in human resources preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of benefits and retirement programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, PTO).
• Oversee leave management and compliance with federal regulations.
• Coordinate open enrollment and enrollment processes.
• Answer inquiries about benefit plans and support payroll deductions accuracy.
• Assist with new employee orientation and recordkeeping.
• Process workers' compensation claims and related documentation.
