Job summary

Suess Insurance Services is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Associate to serve as a trusted advisor to employer groups, helping them manage their employee benefits programs, navigate renewals, and provide ongoing support throughout the year.

You will build lasting client relationships, coordinate open enrollment, present plan options, and work with carriers to resolve service issues while maintaining accuracy and compliance in a California setting.

Qualifications

  • Active California Life & Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience in employee benefits, group health insurance, or a related client-facing role.
  • Working knowledge of group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple client needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and benefits administration platforms, including Employee Navigator.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with employer groups and key decision-makers.
  • Provide guidance on medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other employee benefits programs.
  • Lead annual renewal discussions and present available plan options.
  • Coordinate open enrollment activities and assist with employee communications.
  • Work closely with insurance carriers to resolve service issues and policy questions.
  • Process enrollments, eligibility changes, terminations, and policy updates.
  • Assist with onboarding new employer groups and implementing benefit plans.
  • Monitor client accounts and proactively recommend improvements to enhance the customer experience.
  • Stay current on carrier updates, market trends, and benefits regulations.
