Hunter Hamilton is seeking a Mortgage Default Collector to join an established mortgage servicing organization that partners with credit unions to deliver borrower-focused servicing solutions.

In this role, you'll work directly with borrowers facing financial challenges, helping them understand options, establish payment arrangements, and navigate potential solutions while maintaining accurate account records.

Qualificações

• 2-5 years of experience in mortgage servicing, collections, loss mitigation, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with empathy for sensitive financial conversations.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize follow-ups, and work independently in a collaborative team.
• Understanding of mortgage collections regulations, servicing procedures, and compliance requirements.
• High attention to detail and borrower confidentiality.
• Familiarity with FICS or MSP servicing platforms is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Manage inbound and outbound calls to borrowers regarding delinquent mortgage payments, payment questions, and available assistance options.
• Establish payment arrangements, resolve account concerns, and identify potential loss mitigation opportunities.
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of borrower interactions, account statuses, and follow-up activities.
• Follow established call procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable federal and state mortgage servicing guidelines.
• Proactively contact borrowers regarding escrow or adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM) payment changes, delinquent property taxes, and outstanding post-payoff disbursement checks.
• Communicate with attorneys regarding accounts involved in bankruptcy or foreclosure, as needed.
• Partner with credit unions and internal teams to provide account updates, reporting, and timely resolution of outstanding issues.
