Job summary

CarePoint Health Management Associates is seeking a Security Officer in Bayonne, New Jersey, to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves conducting security rounds, monitoring alarms, and reporting hazardous conditions. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, the ability to complete Health Care Security Certification, and preferably a SORA license with 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting. What You'll Be Doing

Security Officer ensures a safe, secure healing environment for patients, staff, and visitors; as well as ensuring the protection of property from harm as a result of acts of violations of laws, policy, procedures or regulatory requirements 24 hours a day.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Reports all doors that are left open after hours or unattended offices
• Directs visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distributes passes
• Performs unit/building clock tours daily
• Conducts security rounds for safety violations
• Reports all hazardous conditions to the proper departments
• Monitors cameras / alarms at command posts
• Investigates all (police type) incident reports
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to complete a Health Care Security and Safety Certification
• SORA license (preferred)
• With 1-2 years related experience, hospital setting (preferred)
