BEACON BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT SERVICES in Hammond, LA is seeking a Therapist - Intake Coordinator to join our outpatient team. You will review client intake, coordinate initial and follow-up appointments, and maintain confidential records to support seamless care.

The role balances administrative tasks with empathetic client interactions, ensuring accurate documentation and timely connections to therapy services. A Master’s degree and licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field with licensure as LMSW, LCSW, LPC.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a therapist or counselor where applicable.
• Experience conducting client assessments.
• Strong knowledge of mental health practices, confidentiality laws (HIPAA), and ethical standards.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.

Responsabilités

• Review intake assessments to gather client history, presenting issues, and treatment goals.
• Coordinate scheduling of initial and follow-up appointments between clients and therapists.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for established clients, providing information about our outpatient services and answering inquiries.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate ongoing therapy.
• Manage administrative tasks related to client therapy and assessments.
