Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients or responsible parties about payment responsibilities and options.
• Explain insurance benefits and suggest alternative payment sources.
• Contact insurance carriers and advocate for the patient.
• Initiate prepays and follow up to maximize collections.
• Identify and assist with financial assistance programs.
• Coordinate with Case Management and Medicaid vendors to determine eligibility and coverage.
• Notify involved departments of possible service delays and approvals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of pre-processing information.
