Job summary

Forest Lawn in Savannah, GA seeks a Family Service Counselor to guide families through cemetery and memorialization with compassion and professionalism. You’ll meet with families after loss, assist with property and arrangements, and build trusted relationships while maintaining a robust sales pipeline.

You will receive paid training, hourly pay, and uncapped commission potential as you educate families on memorial planning and pre-need options.

Qualifications

• Proven background in customer service and face-to-face relationship building.
• Strong listening skills and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to communicate with compassion, confidence, and professionalism.
• Experience in consultative sales, hospitality, retail sales, or other relationship-driven roles.
• Willing to be trained for cemetery industry and memorial planning.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with families after the loss of a loved one and guiding them through cemetery and memorialization process with compassion.
• Assist families with cemetery property and memorialization arrangements.
• Provide exceptional customer service during sensitive time.
• Build genuine relationships based on trust, empathy, and integrity.
• Follow up with families after services to ensure needs met.
• Educate families about advance planning options for future cemetery and memorial needs.
• Generate pre-need sales opportunities through relationships, follow-up, referrals, and community outreach.
• Maintain accurate CRM activity and sales pipeline.
• Represent the cemetery with professionalism and service excellence.
