Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Cary, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with IDD complete daily living tasks and reach their goals. This part-time role covers after-school hours and weekends, with local community travel.

As a DSP you will provide in-home and community-based care, assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, and transportation to appointments, while documenting activities in the electronic health system.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability required.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or quick learner with technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community settings.
• Assist with daily tasks such as housekeeping, meals, personal care, and employment support.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands.
• Plan and organize client schedules.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health record system.
