Job summary

Millcreek Township School District is seeking a Special Educational Assistant - Emotional Support at Grandview Elementary in Erie, PA. You will support students with daily living activities, behavior management, and academic tasks under guidance from teachers and therapists.

The role requires at least 48 college credits (or an associate degree) and CPR/First Aid certification with ongoing professional development. The position offers comprehensive benefits and PSERS pension options.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years post-secondary (48 credits) or associate degree or passing score on paraprofessional test.
• Ability to follow instructions from educators and therapists.
• Willingness to work with students with daily living activities and behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in small group or individual review with students in math, reading and other curricula.
• Support students during instruction and provide meaningful follow-up activities.
• Assist with daily living activities such as toileting, feeding, dressing.
• Supervise lunch/recess and assist with safety and behavioral plans.
• Record data and maintain logs; participate in classroom and student meetings.
