Job summary

Millcreek Township School District is seeking a Special Educational Assistant for Life Skills in Erie, PA. The role supports students with daily living activities, learning tasks, and therapy-related plans under the direction of teachers and therapists.

The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and documentation. Requirements include CPR/First Aid/UKERU certification and ongoing professional development, with a full-time schedule Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Two years post-secondary (48 credits) or an associate degree.
• Passing score on the Special Education Paraprofessional Assessment test.
• CPR, First Aid and UKERU certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in small group or individual review with students in math, reading, and other subjects.
• Assist students with daily living activities such as toileting, feeding, and dressing.
• Support integration of behavioral management and therapy activity plans.
• Supervise field trips and assist with transportation needs as required.
• Record data and maintain logs for district billing where applicable.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid and UKERU training annually.
